When to consider a referral

When a Referral May Be Helpful

A referral may be worth considering when a client’s circumstances change. The client remains free to decide whether they want to participate in the advice process or proceed with any recommendation.

A referral may be worth considering when a client is:

  • Buying or refinancing a home
  • Taking on a significant financial commitment
  • Starting or growing a family
  • Changing employment or income arrangements
  • Starting or operating a business
  • Reviewing insurance held through super
  • Unsure whether their existing cover still suits them
  • Seeking advice after a major life change
